Taco Mesa

Get this…@TacoMesa is serious. I mean, I always respect a taqueria that makes their own tortillas from the corn masa. But they take it to a whole new level making GREEN tortillas with spinach and fresh poblano peppers blended into the masa dough. And they’re good! Their blacked chicken taco was quite good with the roasted salsa, limes and cotija cheese. Alambre taco was good too…and made even better with the crunch of the fresh peppers and onions. The big surprise/wow factor for me was the horchata made with tiger nut (a root veggie..who knew? ) instead of rice and sweetened with agave. As a no-sugar guy for years, my horchata consumption is few and far between. This was an horchata oasis … and they did it Mayan style with Mexican chocolate, maca and ashwagandha.
