No frills. Hole in the wall. Tacos Hola “El Güero” has been serving homestyle guisados like tinga, mole and rajas in tacos for 50 years … long before Condesa was hipster capital of CDMX. When you’re in the ‘hood and need a quick taco fix. .

#TacosHola (formerly #TacosElGüero) is a @zagat-rated #nofrills, #familyowned #taqueria serving up #guisados since 1968—long before #Condesa became #MexicoCity’s trendy #SOHO-esque neighborhood. Still made with #TLC, their homemade meats are cooked and kept simmering in clay pots. Double tortilla #tacos come with #blackbeans and #cotija cheese #Bistekenpasilla was the better of the two (great flavor but a little tough) and the #tinga was abundant and tender but needed a little more #sumpnsumpn. Super cool that they support the local #TacoPendiente program —with a full stomach and a big heart, you can pay for one #extra taco that they’ll give to someone in need. #tacokindness #socialresponsibility #cazuelas #barro #tacolife #CDMX #tacolegacy
