Casa de Ofelia with CHOICE Humanitarian *Homemade*

Unforgettably kind moment! Master tortilla maker, Ofelia showed @pattiloueze the ropes! (We figured she’s made only about 260K tortillas so far in her 45 years). Ofelia and her family invited us to join them inside their humble home for these amazingly delicious rice and salsa tacos after working with them that morning. Together, we built their mud-coated outdoor oven as part of @singularhumanitarian/@choiceorgexpedition’s sustainable development initiatives with the families in the small village of Detiñá, Mexico. These tacos were so simple, so good, so fresh and shared with so much love! Made straight from the organic corn they grew in this field. Doesn’t get any more authentic or real!
