So @ContramarMX shows up on all the list of essential places to eat in Mexico City. Finally I made it there…and I think I had possibly the best fish taco I’ve ever had in my life. No joke. Even though there was impeccable white linen/white glove service from José Luis Nájera (“Lo que más le agrada!” indeed), this place was not stuffy or overly expensive. There were other more fancy things on the menu, but of course my go to is always taco form of whatever is served. So my mouth went bonkers over this fish taco: taco de esmedregal (cobia) al pastor style. Light, flaky, richly seasoned. GET IT. And their signature tosada de atún (tuna) were delicious. Get those too (they brought them by “on the house”). Tacos de camarones salteados mmmmm. And get those. Just get it all.
