Itacates @ Mercado Tepoztlán

Check this OUT…Triangle stuffed tacos. Nothing better than walking through the market with the gang from @wejourney and stumbling across the local trademark food: Itacate. Blue corn, hand-pressed, thick, greasy, stuffed with tender and juice tinga (shredded chicken in a spicy sauce). Our first time seeing and eating this hometown fave. If you’re in Tepoztlán #pueblomagico, you’re probably there to visit Quetzalcoatl’s birthplace, hike to the Tepozteco pyramid or experience the new age/creative energy here…but don’t leave without sinking your teeth into an itacate!
