Tacomiendo near the Hipódromo in TJ makes these monster-size crispy cheese “tortilla” tacos. This beauty was filled with carne asada, fresh 
, killer salsa tatemada. De. Chaparse. Los. Dedos. And we got a whole taqueria culture genealogy lesson from our tacomaster. He laid out how TJ legends El Gordo, El Franc and Taconazo are all connected. It’s all a beautiful tapestry of taco wonder. Kinda like life, right @sarafreeman8?!

Amazing al pastor with rajas of roasted jalapeños wrapped in a huge “tortilla” of perfectly crispy Monterey Jack cheese and topped with their fresh made grilled salsa. Running for the border? Where do you #streettaco in Tijuana? We took @lukemsanchez’s recommendation muy en serio—ese cuate sabe taquear—and hit up #Tacomiendo. Stand up, pound your tacos, chew the fat with other #tacomaniacs. #whereitsat! Martín, the expert taquero who takes genuine pleasure in making it exactly how you want (#comoguste!), was grilling up Nueva York carne asada al carbon that was so flavorful wrapped up in their homemade tortillas thanks to Olga. Healthy dollop of guac and “todo”…amazing. AND, worthy of a separate post…coming soon…they make a taco con tortilla de queso!
