Tacos 1986

Impressed. There’s a reason you’ve been hearing about Downtown LA newcomer @Tacos1986LA — the fresh ingredients (taquero was so proud to show me the oranges they use to juice for the adobada marinade), the no-nonsense taco-focused menu, the trompo, the funky “fresa” salsa their spicy secret recipe salsa made with strawberries, the stand-and-eat style taqueria. AND, the fresh handmade corn tortillas cranked out by Oliva. Tacos, vampiros, mulitas and quesadillas — carne asada stood out here. @sedan106 and I felt the adobada was good, but a little too sweet and condimented to be a home run.
