Always searching. Wherever I’m at, tacos are a priority. You feeling me?! So when my travels with @convoi_ and @acanelaexpeditions took me to Japan, the hunt was on. Headed to the #Harajuku area (along with ALL of Japan, #harajukugirls and #jpop street band)—this place cra-zee about street food and wild fashion. And Chiles Grill was in the middle of all the madness. Had to check it out. I got two classics (pork pibil and beef in salsa de árbol) + a Japanese take on carne asada marinated in Shio-Koji sauce, fermented rice malts and salt. I’d go again…but truth be told, I felt a bit nickel and dimed. Charged for small cup of salsa? Huh? And reluctantly given a razor thin lime slice? Odd. Totally out of character for a taco experience. Left me a baffled a bit. The search goes on…
