La Casa de Abuelita

December 16, 2015

When I lived in Mexico, I had a few Mexican grandmas that “adopted” me. True to its name, #LaCasadeAbuelita transported me back to those classic grandma houses — full of #TLC (the server was like a long-lost aunt who called me “amor”), great homemade flavors and a kaleidoscopic fiesta for your eyes with momentos, knickknacks and copious amounts of fringe. Kind of like what it would be to eat inside a piñata. The al pastor taco was better and more flavorful than the carne asada. Stop by grandma’s house when you’re in San Gabriel Valley for some multicolored nostalgia and pretty decent #tacos.
